Application
Shake well before use.
Ready to use, do not dilute. Ensure to protect surfaces not intended to be decorated and those sensitive to acids.
On raw copper substrate:
Apply COPPER SPIRIT on sound, dry, and clean substrates. This application can be done using a sprayer or a tool (cloth, brush, sponge, etc.) to achieve complementary decorative effects. The formation of Verdigris should start quickly. Otherwise, sand the substrate to return to raw metal.
On substrates coated with a first layer of REACTIVE LEAF COPPER:
Apply a second layer of REACTIVE LEAF COPPER and spray 5 minutes after COPPER SPIRIT (spraying when the applied paint is still wet).
This application of COPPER SPIRIT should be done using the sprayer only.
Repeat the application of COPPER SPIRIT regularly (15/30 minutes interval) until the desired effect and color are achieved. If the Verdigris effect becomes too pronounced, feel free to apply touches of REACTIVE LEAF COPPER.
Once the decorative effect is achieved, you can stop the development of Verdigris by applying the special neutralizer SPIRIT SEALER.
For optimal protection of your decoration, we recommend applying the matte varnish NATURAL VARNISH or RUSTOL-OWATROL® (satin/glossy finish).
An irregular application (by zoning) of COPPER SPIRIT allows for a very natural final effect (see video).
