Description

XYLIN is a colourless, quick-drying, and odourless wood treatment that enhances and sharpens the natural beauty of wood. Designed for indoor use, it provides excellent impregnation of substrates, ensuring enhanced water resistance and ‘anti-stain’ protection.

Non-film-forming and easy to use, XYLIN can be applied directly to prepared wood surfaces, both vertical (such as panelling, framework, and beams) and horizontal (including parquet and worktops). It is suitable for new or old wood of various types, including exotic woods like teak and padouk, softwoods like spruce, pine, and red cedar, hardwoods like oak and chestnut, as well as thermo-heated wood.

Recommendations before application

Wood must be clean, dry, grease-free and free of all coatings before application.
New wood: no special preparation required.
Aged, blackened or stained wood: clean the wood.
Wood that has been sealed or already has a protective coating: sand or strip the wood using NET-TROL® 600.
Depending on the type of wood used, a preservative treatment with TMU 84 NG should be applied. This treatment is not necessary on wood with natural or conferred durability or on thermally-heated wood.
Do not dilute XYLIN.

Application

Stir well before and during application.
Apply a first coat of XYLIN in the direction of the wood, over a surface not exceeding 20 minutes.
Apply a second coat fresh on fresh when the wet appearance of the wood disappears, taking care not to let the first coat dry and starting from the beginning. Two coats are recommended, depending on the absorbency of the substrate.
Smooth off any excess product before drying to avoid drips or streaks.
The protection must be in the wood, not on the surface.
Never allow to dry between coats.
