ULTIMAFLOOR® protects and enhances the wood grain, it is non-slip, light-resistant, and NON-slippery to ensure long-lasting protection.
This odorless clear varnish does not yellow over time.

Recommendations before application
• To avoid deep scratches from sanding, perform a test sanding with a floor sander equipped with a #40 or #50 grit.
• Based on the visual result obtained, gradually proceed with a finer grit up to #80 or #100, or start with a coarser grit (< #40) for a soiled and uneven floor.
• Use an edge sander for the edges, a scraper, or a wood chisel for the corners.
• If necessary, fill cracks < 2 mm with LIANFLOOR®* and resume sanding with #80 or #100 grit according to the last grit used.
• Finish with final sandings up to #120 to #150 grit depending on the wood species and the thickness of the wear layer.
DURIEU TIPS:
• Adhere to the above grain size scale. It is recommended to only skip one grit at a time.
• Adjust the pressure and sanding speed according to the grit used, the nature of the wood (more or less soft), and the thickness of the wear layer. Proper preparation is essential for the final appearance of the finish.
• Thoroughly vacuum between each sanding, including dust traps (baseboards, radiators, pipes, window sills, etc.).
• For old oiled or waxed parquet floors: prefer dry stripping followed by degreasing before sanding (consult us).
• In all cases, comply with current standards/DTU (Technical Documents for Execution).

• Apply a first even and full coat of ULTIMAFLOOR®. Make 3 crisscross passes in one application, facing the light and starting from the opposite side of the door, progressing towards it.
• Start with the edges, then cover the entire surface, working in zones of 2m by 2m.
• Let it dry for 4 hours depending on ambient conditions.
• Sand lightly (grit #150 to #180) then thoroughly dust off.
• Apply the 2nd coat of ULTIMAFLOOR®. Do not exceed more than 12 hours between the application of the 2 coats.
• Start with the edges, then cover the entire surface, working in zones of 2m by 2m.
• Let it dry for 4 hours depending on ambient conditions.
• Sand lightly (grit #150 to #180) then thoroughly dust off.
• Apply the 2nd coat of ULTIMAFLOOR®. Do not exceed more than 12 hours between the application of the 2 coats.
