Application
Shake well before use.
Ready to use, do not dilute.
1 - Apply RUST SPIRIT to clean, dry, and prepared surfaces intended for decoration. This application can be done directly using a sprayer or a transfer tool such as a cloth, brush, sponge, etc., to achieve complementary decorative effects.
2 - On raw ferrous surfaces, rust formation should start quickly if the surface is unprotected. Otherwise, sand the surface to return to bare metal before applying RUST SPIRIT.
3 - Repeat the application of RUST SPIRIT regularly (15/30 minutes apart) until the desired effect and color are achieved.
4 - Once the decorative effect is achieved, stop the rust development using:
a. Either a generous application of RUSTOL–OWATROL®.
b. Or an application of the special neutralizer SPIRIT SEALER.
5 - For optimal protection of your decor, we recommend applying the matte varnish NATURAL VARNISH or RUSTOL–OWATROL® (satin-gloss finish).
An irregular application (by zoning) of RUST SPIRIT allows you to create a very natural final effect (see video).
