This water-based additive will allow you to multiply and vary the shapes and patterns of your creation. This cell activator alters the flow and leveling properties of the acrylic paints. This product can be used in conjunction with our FLOETROL® product which promotes color separation.

Recommendations before application

Work step by step and keep in mind that the effects may vary depending on the type of paint and color to which AUSSIE-TROL® is added.
Therefore, it's essential to conduct tests with different doses of AUSSIE-TROL® and paint to achieve the desired mixture, consistency, and effects. For example, you could start with a minimal dose of AUSSIE-TROL® (2 parts AUSSIE-TROL® to 1 part paint) and adjust according to your preferences.
Make sure to mix well to achieve a uniform color. This mixture should not be diluted.

AUSSIE-TROL® can be used regardless of the pouring techniques you prefer, whether you're a fan of flip cup, puddle pouring, dirty pouring, or air swipe.
There are several pouring techniques to choose from for your creations:
Puddle Pouring: This technique involves pouring each paint individually onto the canvas one after the other.
Dirty Pouring: This involves pouring all the acrylic paints you want to use into a cup or container and pouring the contents onto the surface you want to paint.
Flip cup: Place the paint-filled cup under the canvas, flip it over, then lift the cup.
Air swipe: Air swipe involves blowing on the paint with a hairdryer or using a straw, for example, to spread it out.
Swipe: Here, you'll use a spatula, for example, to wipe the applied paint and create cells.
Of course, there are many more acrylic pouring techniques, depending on your creativity and preferences. Here's an example of using AUSSIE-TROL® cell activator with FLOETROL®:
Step 1: Prepare the cushion paint and pour the colored paints onto it
On the surface chosen for the painting, first pour the base paint, which we'll call "cushion" paint. This paint should be slightly liquid so that it can serve as a medium for sliding the colors. We recommend using a classic white acrylic paint. This paint should not be mixed with FLOETROL®.

Pour the colored paints mixed with FLOETROL® onto this cushion, as explained in the previous paragraph. They can be poured all in the same place or dispersed but always over the white cushion.
To optimize the effects, vary the shapes, cell size, and push the color interactions further, pour the paint + AUSSIE-TROL® mixture last. Pour it over each area where the paint + FLOETROL® mixtures were deposited. AUSSIE-TROL will provide better cell distribution and more flexibility to create new shapes. We recommend using a paint of the same color as the cushion for the mixture with AUSSIE-TROL®.
Step 2: Unleash your creativity with the air swipe pouring technique
Blow with a straw, with your mouth in bursts at the "islands" of colors. The colors slide and spread, and the cells appear.
For the rest, let your creativity and imagination flow. Continue blowing, rotating, waving, or swinging movements, move the paints and cushion as you like to finish your work.
Use a varnish to limit extended drying time and strengthen surface hardness.
Depending on the type of acrylic paint used and the mixing proportions chosen, the drying time of the paints may be significantly prolonged or their surface hardness may be altered. This can cause fragility when handled and may leave marks when touched.
This phenomenon can be limited by using a surface varnish. Additionally, a finishing varnish will be favorable to even out the shine.
Be careful when finishing the painting with a surface varnish, if it is too rigid or brittle, there may be risks of cracking. To ensure complete drying of the paint, we recommend a long drying time (at least one week) before applying a varnish.
You can also use VEGAFLOOR® for finishing, a product with three finishes to give your artwork a matte, satin, or glossy appearance.
