RUSTOL-PRIMER AP.60 is both a primer and a matte finish for all surfaces based on RUSTOL-OWATROL®* which stops and stabilizes rust permanently. It can be applied on various surfaces: metal, wood, PVC...

• As a primer, it can be coated with oil-based/glycero/alkyd-urethane, single-component alkyd paints.

• All substrates:

Wood, PVC, tiles, fibro-cement...
Ferrous and non-ferrous metals: galvanized, aluminum, zinc...
• Exterior: grilles, balconies, garden furniture, shutters, verandas, various metal structures...
• Interior: doors, door frames, furniture, radiators, piping...

• The surface must be prepared, clean, dry, and non-greasy. Adhere to the current DTU regulations.
• On surfaces with light/heavy oxidation and/or previously painted surfaces, remove any non-adherent rust or paint beforehand.

Apply as a primer in one coat. For finishing, apply one to two additional coats. Allow 24/48 hours to dry between coats.
For new surfaces: apply directly 1 to 2 coats of RUSTOL-PRIMER AP.60.
For lightly oxidized surfaces: lightly brush with a wire brush followed by 1 to 2 coats of RUSTOL-PRIMER AP.60.
For heavily oxidized surfaces: follow the above method but add 5 to 20% of RUSTOLOWATROL®* to the RUSTOL-PRIMER AP.60 in the first coat.
For previously painted and oxidized surfaces: it is recommended to apply a coat of pure RUSTOLOWATROL®* before the first coat of RUSTOL-PRIMER AP.60.
For non-ferrous metal surfaces: blocks all corrosion (zinc, aluminum, copper...). Does not require sanding on zinc and galvanized steel. Application as per "New Surfaces".

APPLICATION TIPS

Stir well before and during application to keep the pigments suspended.
Do not dilute.
For spray application, depending on the type of nozzle used, add 5 to 20% of RUSTOLOWATROL®* to the RUSTOL-PRIMER AP.60 to achieve the desired viscosity.
Apply between +5°C and +35°C. Do not apply on very hot surfaces.
When applying on wood, the wood moisture should not exceed 18% according to current standards (DTU).
