Description
Provide high-performance adhesion to all your surfaces and combat corrosion with PID-60. It ensures long-lasting rust and oxidation protection. Designed for ferrous metals, it offers excellent adhesion and effectively isolates the surface from rust.
Easy to use, it can be applied with a brush or roller as an undercoat and dries in 1 hour. The finishing paint can therefore be applied on the same day.
Properties
• Overcoatable with single and two-component systems including epoxy.
• Dry in 60 minutes. Applies to ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, gelcoat, galvanized, aluminum, old paints...
Anticorrosion primer and medium gray single-component adhesion undercoat for sound surfaces and free of rust (compatible with slight rust bloom).
Excellent adhesion on smooth surfaces such as aluminum, zinc, galvanized.
• Thin layer as an adhesion undercoat.
• Thick layer:
As an anticorrosion primer.
To fill metal irregularities.
• As a cleanliness layer before handling and/or shipping.
Fast drying. Provides opacity.
Applies to all surfaces without significant dimensional variations: steel, aluminum, fibercement, concrete, sheet metal, galvanized, gelcoat...
Very easy sanding.

Destination
• Interior (good ventilation imperative + solvent mask) and exterior.
• Sound substrates without oxidation (light rust accepted) above the waterline.
• Cleaned and abraded old paint. For old two-component coatings, sanding or even sandblasting may be required.
Other applications: metal frameworks... applications requiring rapid drying (60 minutes).
• Overcoatable with an appropriate paint such as alkyd-urethane, glycerophthalic, acrylic. Or with a two-component epoxy, polyurethane... (allow for complete drying time, at least 6 hours under normal conditions: temperature 20°C and 50% RH).

Recommendations before application
• Stir well before and during use.
• Do not dilute, unless using a spray gun (see "Pro Tips" section).
• The surface must be perfectly dry, clean, and degreased.
• Cover/protect everything that should not be painted, especially when applying with a roller or spray gun.
• Perform a preliminary test.

Application
Apply with a brush or a paintbrush in one coat. Apply a wet thickness between 150-200 µm, which will correspond to 100-140 µm of dry film. Dry in one hour. Can also be applied with a paint gun by applying a thin and even coat.
If necessary, it is possible to apply 2 coats (the second coat should be applied between 2 and 4 hours after the first).
PID 60 Marine must be completely dry at heart before any overcoating (between 2 and 4 hours). Wait 6 hours if recoating with a two-component system (temperature 20°C and 50% RH).
It is possible to sand PID 60 Marine when it is completely dry at heart to obtain a perfectly flat surface before applying the finish. If the overcoating delay exceeds 5 days, degrease with a solvent such as acetone, sand PID 60 Marine with 220-320 grade sandpaper, then carefully remove the dust with a cloth.
Recommended wet thickness per coat: 150 to 200 microns. Recommended dry film thickness per coat: 100 to 140 microns.
