XYLKOTE protects:
Penetrates and protects wood from the effects of moisture.
Minimizes wood movements - reducing the risk of distortion.

XYLCOTE Decorative:
Enhances the natural color and grain of wood, especially in softwoods (Spruce, Fir, Pine, Larch....).
Matte transparent finish
A satin transparent finish can be achieved by applying an additional coat 24 hours after saturating the wood.
Can be tinted with universal colorants (5-10 g per liter) or with liquid waxes (contact the manufacturer).

Easy cleaning - soap and water.

Recommendations before application
New woods: Sand with sandpaper (100 grit) to open the wood pores, remove dust, and check if it's dry.
Woods exposed to the weather, stained, or blackened: Clean with NET-TROL degreaser.
Stained, varnished, or waxed woods: XYLKOTE should only be applied to the wood in its natural state.

Application
Apply a coat of XYLKOTE using a brush or roller. Wait until it penetrates (15 to 30 minutes).
Apply a second coat of XYLKOTE. Let it penetrate for an additional 15 to 30 minutes.
Repeat the application until the wood is saturated (expecting 2 or 3 coats on new wood).
Always finish the application following the grain of the wood.
Do not let XYLKOTE dry to the touch or between coats.
Remove excess product that has not penetrated to avoid shiny spots.
Wait 24 hours before putting the treated surface into use.
Satin finish: 24 hours after complete saturation, apply a coat of XYLKOTE and let it dry.
Apply a second coat of XYLKOTE. Let it penetrate for an additional 15 to 30 minutes.
Repeat the application until the wood is saturated (expecting 2 or 3 coats on new wood).
Always finish the application following the grain of the wood.
