DEEP CLEANER : Oil remover & cleaner

EAN :

Description

DEEP CLEANER is a powerful, water-washable, solvent-free remover and cleaner that effectively eliminates new, old, and encrusted oils from exterior wooden surfaces and restores severely weathered wood. Biodegradable and suitable for environmentally sensitive areas, DEEP CLEANER's gel consistency prevents it from running, making it ideal for vertical surfaces. Easy to apply and fast-acting, it quickly and efficiently removes millglaze, a byproduct of the manufacturing process, from new wood surfaces, enhancing the penetration and adhesion of finishes.

- Ideal for exterior wood surfaces such as decks, handrails, trim, and more.
- Effective on both horizontal and vertical surfaces.

Recommendations before application

- Always perform a preliminary test before starting the job to determine the necessary contact time for stripping or cleaning the wood. See the test procedure.
- When stripping or cleaning areas with caulking, ALWAYS conduct a test by applying DEEP CLEANER to a small area, letting it sit for 20 minutes, then scrubbing and rinsing off to ensure there is no reaction.
- Wear chemical-resistant gloves, safety goggles, and protective clothing.
- Always treat stripped and cleaned surfaces with DECK CLEANER to neutralize the surface and restore the wood's color.
- Woods rich in tannins (e.g., cedar, oak, teak, mahogany) may darken with DEEP CLEANER. If darkening occurs, DO NOT allow the wood to dry before using DECK CLEANER.
- Cover and protect anything you do not wish to strip or clean, including any aluminum surfaces.
- When stripping or cleaning vertical surfaces, work from bottom to top to avoid streaking.
- Apply between 5°C (41°F) and 35°C (95°F). Do not apply in direct sunlight or on a hot surface.
- Do not allow DEEP CLEANER to dry on the surface. If drying occurs, dampen with a mist application of water.
- Consult us for additional information and advice before using DEEP CLEANER on oak and chestnut.

Application

Use as is, Do Not dilute.
Work large areas in zones.
Always work in direction of the grain. Do Not use a wire brush.
After rinsing, immediately treat surface with DECK CLEANER while still wet.
Allow wood to dry thoroughly, 2-3 days before refinishing.
Test Procedure

Apply DEEP CLEANER
Allow to work 5 minutes.
Scrub surface to see if finish or dirt is lifting.
If lifting commence with job, if not wait a further 5 minutes and test again, continue this process up to a maximum of 20 minutes.
STRIPPING AND CLEANING

Work in areas that can be completed in 5-20 minutes, then move on to the next area until entire surface is stripped or clean.
Apply DEEP CLEANER to the area to be stripped or cleaned and allow to work.
After time established in the test, scrub surface with a stiff nylon brush, if required flush with water at the same time OR use a power washer (max 60 bars/870 psi).
Thoroughly rinse the surface after stripping/cleaning including any adjacent areas, with fresh clean water.
NB: The use of hot water makes the job easier.
REDUCING MILLGLAZE

Apply DEEP CLEANER to the area to be treated.
Allow to work 10-15 minutes depending on wood type.
Scrub surface with stiff nylon scrubbing brush, if required flush with water at the same time OR use a power washer (max 60 bars/870 psi).
After removing the millglaze, thoroughly rinse the surface including any adjacent areas with fresh clean water.
Consult us for additional information and advice prior to using DEEP CLEANER on Oak and Chestnut.
